OUTREACH
The Frisch CouGears FTC team is committed to spread our love for STEM to all students. Even as a rookie team, we have been hard at work on this goal. Some outreach achievements of ours include:
Mentoring the Freshman/Sophomore robotics club and VEX team at Frisch four times a week
Designing and running multiple middle school Engineering labs and robotics presentations in three local middle schools
Growing our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Accounts
FRISCH'S VEX LEAGUE
Our partnership with our school's VEX league is one of the most crucial elements of our Outreach. We have been consistently mentoring and providing advice to the lowerclassmen and their four VEX teams four days a week. We have also gone to their matches to judge as well as mentor them on the field. We are so proud of all four of these teams who all placed in the top 10 at the last competition!
MENTORING LOCAL SCHOOLS
Mentoring three local middle schools has definitely been one of the most rewarding processes. We have mentored almost 100 kids through STEM-related labs and activities which each aim to provide the kids with an enjoyable activity as well as valuable lessons and advice. We have also helped five VEX Robotics teams through these three schools with their mechanical and programming skills and we were so excited when all five teams placed in the top ten in their first competition of the season.
